If I Could Change the World
By Joseph McGowan
If I could change the world for just one day
I’d say no more work and everyone must play
And animals would talk and fish would fly
With the birds up in the sky
If I could change the world for just one day
No one would ever cry
If I could change the world for just one day
I’d say no more wars and every one must play
And the crippled would walk and the blind would have new eyes
So they too could see the fish flying
With the birds up in the sky
If I could change the world for just one day
No one would ever die
If I could change the world for just one day
I’d say no more pollution and everyone must play
And the hungry would eat from fields filled with food
And drink from rivers that never run dry
If I could change the world for just one day
I’d ask you to help me and together as one we all could try
If I could change the work for just one day
I’d ask you to love and respect one another and when you pray
To ask the lord why things have to be this way
And if he could change the world for just one day |
