"Aurora Borealis"

Aurora borealis is inspired by a moment in my youth. When looking into the star-lit night I was astonished by the colors of light flickering across the heavens as far as the eye could see, not yet realizing I was looking at one of our world’s true wonders the “Aurora borealis.” At that point in time, I knew the world we lived in was a very special place that held many mysteries and that her beauty was all around us if we’d only take the time to seek it.  I dream that through my art I can make the world a better place.

I have infused over two miles of fiber optic cable into this sculpture in which its 1200 individual points of light radiate mesmerizing beauty.  In doing so this is the first water sculpture of its kind, a frozen waterfall of infinitely changing light intensity and color to suit the client’s environment.
