“Feng Shui” Water Wall

I wanted to create a mood that transcended the delicate energy and balance between the water and the land.  Thus transforming the raw canvas into a work of art that would have positive energy and calming effect for those who viewed it.  Taking a page from Mother Nature, the backdrop is finished in mother of pearl, giving the painting the soft qualities I was trying to project.  I then so delicately began to overlay the fountain with natural earth tones.  The techniques I have developed leave impressions of bamboo rising from mother earth.  Other techniques give the impression of leaves, some so thin you can see the delicate structure of the plants much like a fossil foever trapped in time, as is this painting.
