Skin Suite Med Spa of Chino, CA commissioned Joseph to create this bamboo-encased water wall with company logo to be located in their main reception area.   The client presented Joseph with all of the color samples, flooring material and fabric swatches to be used in the med spa.  Upon evaluation of the chosen décor the design phase began.

Various samples of materials were presented to the client with various options that could be incorporated into this water feature. This particular water feature is the first object that Skin Suites clientele observe when entering the facility.  “I wanted to make a statement with this design, yet I didn’t want to dominate the environment."  After conferring with my client we decided that the resin-incased bamboo would give the look and feel of a natural setting.  Thus with the sound and visual of the cascading water flowing over the bamboo would help to allow his clients to peacefully relax while waiting for their service.

The logo for Skin Suite was custom color matched to coincide with all signage and advertising material that would incorporate their logo.  The water flows behind the logo giving the illusion that the letters are floating above the water. 

The water sculpture was then finished with a high gloss black framing and basin to offset and contrast with natural finish of the resign bamboo face.  The results are stunning a one of a kind water feature. The McGowan Studio was the first to incorporate the bamboo resin into this type of application.
